Dealing With Difficult People Over The Holidays

During the holiday season, you may find yourself interacting with a difficult person for you. Someone who is disappointed or different or stressed or embarrassing or untactful or is unsafe for you. This Sunday, in our 10am service, Craig will offer a couple suggestions for responding to them. To make this message more unique, he will be using examples of difficult people from the Christmas story in the Bible. See you Sunday!

An Attitude of Gratitude

We’d all like to live everyday with an attitude of gratitude. But that desire is too often derailed by distractions. This Sunday, in our 10am service, Craig will offer several specific and practical suggestions for consistently living a gratitude-filled life. That seems like a fitting topic as we kick-off Thanksgiving week. You’ll hear more about the Thanksgiving Eve service, the ladies’ Jingle Mingle (Dec. 5), the Baja missions trip (Dec. 7) and the Chili Cook-off/Silent Auction event (Dec. 8). You can pick an Angel Tree gift tag as well. It’s going to be another good Sunday at Gateway!

More Lies I Learned in Church

Here are the LIES Craig will attempt to dispel this Sunday in our 10am service: IF YOU PRAY HARD ENOUGH AND LONG ENOUGH, GOD WILL ANSWERS YOUR PRAYERS I MUST NEVER STOP MEETING OTHERS’ NEEDS WOMEN SHOULD NEVER BE ALLOWED TO TEACH OR LEAD IN THEIR CHURCH THERE IS ONLY ONE CHOICE IN EACH DECISION THAT IS GOD’S WILL FOR ME EVANGELICAL MEANS VOTING REPUBLICAN GOD HATES SINNERS AND ISN’T ALL THAT PLEASED WITH ME WHEN I MESS UP Our teens will lead us in worship. And on this Veteran’s Day weekend, we’ll recognize those who have served our country. See you Sunday!
